Discover Dublin's Surroundings With Your Own Private Guide
Licensed Fáilte Ireland chauffeur tours to Glendalough, the Wicklow Mountains, Newgrange and the Cliffs of Moher. Just you, your guide, and the day shaped around what you want to see.
Ireland's most-requested day trips
Every tour is private. Just you and one guide, moving at your pace and stopping wherever there's a story worth telling. Here's where most journeys from Dublin begin.

Cliffs of Moher
Ireland's most dramatic coastline, standing 214 metres above the Atlantic. It's roughly 3.5 hours each way, so we build the whole day around it.

Glendalough
St. Kevin's 6th-century monastic settlement, set between two glacial lakes deep in the Wicklow Mountains.

Wicklow Mountains
Heather-covered peaks and glacial valleys make up the classic scenic drive, often paired with Glendalough for a fuller day.

Newgrange & the Boyne Valley
A 5,000-year-old Neolithic passage tomb, older than the pyramids, at the heart of the Brú na Bóinne UNESCO World Heritage Site often paired with the Hill of Tara, ancient seat of Ireland's High Kings.

Giant's Causeway
Northern Ireland's otherworldly basalt coastline, around 2.5 hours from Dublin. One of the most-searched day trips from Dublin a long day, but worth it.
Somewhere else in mind?
Blarney Castle, the Rock of Cashel, distillery and food trails, if there's a corner of Ireland you want to see, Aiden builds the day around it, not the other way around.
Meet Aiden O'Byrne

"I'm nearly 60, a historian, and a natural storyteller. I've written and produced a short film and won the Sony Short Story Prize in 2000. I hold Fetec Diplomas in National Tour Guiding, Tour Management, and Heritage & Culture, and I'm fully trained in accessibility so guests of all abilities feel welcome. Before this, I spent years building relationships with senior corporate executives, and now I put those same skills into showing you Ireland properly, one tour at a time."

Straight answers, so there's nothing to wonder about on the day.
How much does a private tour cost?
Day tours start from €400 for up to 6 guests in the Mercedes V-Class, or up to 4 in the BMW. That covers the vehicle, fuel, parking and Aiden as your private guide for the full day, the only extra is admission to any sites you choose to go inside.
Is Aiden a licensed guide?
Yes. Aiden holds Fetec Diplomas in National Tour Guiding, Tour Management, and Heritage & Culture, and is listed in Fáilte Ireland's official Guide Directory not a driver reading from a script, but a trained historian who happens to also be your chauffeur.
What vehicle will I be touring in?
A BMW (up to 4 guests) or Mercedes V-Class (up to 6 guests) never a group bus or shared minivan. It's just your party and Aiden, door to door.
Can we combine multiple destinations in one day?
Often, yes — Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains pair naturally, and Newgrange usually stands well on its own. The Cliffs of Moher, being roughly 3.5 hours each way, is typically a full day by itself. Tell Aiden what you'd like to see and he'll build the itinerary around it.
Is tipping expected?
No, it's not obligatory in Ireland. If Aiden's storytelling and care made the day, many guests choose to tip — entirely up to you, never expected.
